noticable alias artifacts, help with settings

Shooting DVCPRO50 480i for TV spot production we are having a gripe about alias around clothing, men's ties etc. I know this is a fact of 1/3" chips but are there detail settings etc that can help this?
 
What are you monitoring with ( does it have an aperature adjustment and was that accidently set too high)
and what are your detail settings?
 
It's not a monitoring issue. You see it in the FCP viewer window also. Detail is default on Scene 1 '0'
 
I ask about monitoring, because in my experience with SD the monitor can greatly affect aliasing, often making it look like you have it when you don't.
The FCP window doesn't sound at all like an accurate test for that. I've often seen stuff on 8045's that was not there on larger monitors.
Just wondering how you were looking at the picture.

At "0" your detail may be a bit high. You might try -3 at least and you could toy with vertical detail on the tie.
