HPX250: Not sure if there's any reason to continue purchasing P2 when MicroP2 is here to stay

If I'm not mistaken, as long as you're using newer P2 cams that support Micro P2, I don't see any reason to continue purchasing the more expensive P2 cards right? The specs clearly favor Micro P2 with 2 Gb/s transfer over 1.2 Gb/s on P2 series F. Plus with Micro P2, you don't really need expensive proprietary P2 reader (like the PCD-30) anymore. Any $150 Windows netbook w/ SDHC reader will do the job. No more clumsy USB2 cables. Just insert it to the laptop and be done with it.

My only concern is the reliability of the SDHC form factor. Recently I had a 32 Gb Transcend that simply couldn't handle 3-4 years of insertion and removal. Basically the card simply couldn't hold together. Looked like the glue couldn't stick over time. And the lock notch somehow wouldn't lock down. This is a rare situation but valid concern on the adhesive. I'm looking at other brands of SDHC and see how fragile it is for the glue to loose its grip. Not sure if Micro P2 will have this problem. It's yet to be proven in the real world.

It appears to me the PX270 is the 1st cam to incorporate 2 Micro P2 slots and only 1 P2 trend. Single P2 slot is useless for spanning. If this continues on future cam models, then it's a sign of P2 being discontinued or phased out overtime. But in the mean time Micro P2 will not support 1080/60p at AVC-I 200. Perhaps P2 G series can do this. I have yet to see any new cam from Pana. can do this. The PX5000 maxes out at 1080/60p at AVC-I 100. There's a good trend that a 64 Gb F series dropped about $75 in past year. It was $650. Now you can get it for about $575. Perhaps many are flocking to Micro P2 and it hurts P2 sales.
