watched the BBC's 'Africa' series last night here in the UK and was blown away by the quality of camerawork. It was stunning. Does anyone know which ENG camera the crews used for this series. Just goes to highlight you can get terrific looking filmic images from 2/3 inch cameras. It was inspiring. Thanks..

Ask Phillip Bloom!

I'm sure someone here might know how to find out, and yes I believe beautiful images can be had from anything newer than (and including) the DVX100.

Production lasted four years and had many demands for different types of shots, so a whole host of different cameras were used, including the Lunax Starlight camera to capture night scenes of Rhinos. Timelapses were on DSLR, they used remote cameras, high speed cameras, you name it, they used it.
