GH2 Not recording at 24Mbps, how do I force full bit rate?

I just downloaded mediainfo to check the bit rate of my recordings and none of them are at 24Mbps. Is there a way to force full bit rates?
 
if you indeed shot on 24p High, then what you're asking just cannot be done :(
that one of the limitations in this VBR codec. nothing you can do about it.
when you shoot complicated stuff it will go to 24Mps, but only when it has to.
even a hack wouldn't solve this.
 
You'll likely still get such banding at high bit rates because it is caused by something else, which was explained in your other thread.

Just to clarify, I didn't say the lower bitrate was the absolute cause of the banding, just that it might be a factor. Even if you shot a subject such as the sky at a higher bitrate, you may still come across the issue.

Banding is completely fixable if you're willing to dabble in Avisynth scripting, I posted a solution in the other thread (using a plugin called gradfun2db). I can verify it works brilliantly, and as long as you take care with your codec choice and your final encoding you can minimise its presence on video streaming sites.
