Not my stuff. But thought it was neat.

This is my style. Thanks for posting waverider. Reminds me of ESSM. Highly recommended ya'll. Favorite shot is of the floor in episode 3 as they are dancing in a circle. I gotta see this flick.

Yeah, very well put together. I loved the feel of this. And that girl...I don't know man...kinda looks androgynous...kinda looks Anne Heche-ish...and kinda hot all rolled into one. She confused me.

Just got through episode 1. I was really impressed. I didn't know where it was going at first, but it certainly pulls itself together nicely. Really nice post work and pacing. Seems like they had a ton of footage to work with. On to the next one.

Very interesting. I like the whole concept and really want to see the completed film. Its allwasy interesting to see exactly what people have gone through to make a film, its something the general public doesn't seem to think about. Thanks for posting this.

wow, i just finished watching these episodes in itunes, the podcast section then saw this thread here, this film looks great. hope it gets distribution so i can check it out.

first, i have to say that this is stylistically well done. the editing, the lighting, the cinematography, etc... everything looks amazing and i would be thrilled to put out something of similar quality. However, from watching the three episodes (i have not actually been to the site yet), i can't get over the fact that these kids are completely full of themselves. there is not one mention of the subject matter of the film, instead it is merely... "look at us and our relationship... oh yeah, we're making a film as well." honestly, i couldn't care less about the relationship of two kids i don't know.

Then I guess it isn't so well done after all.

i was under the impression that those podcast episodes were just about them and their relationship and the movie is an entirely different thing (hence them getting actors from the acting class).

Yes they are about them, not about the movie.
My point was that if he watched the podcast and didn't care about their relationship then the video wasn't all that well done (like he said). A well done video will make you care about the subject matter.

Personally, I really liked the episode I saw.
In fact, when we were talking about making a DVXuser podcast, this is the sort of thing I wanted to see...instead of a bunch of tech specs and instructional stuff. But, I think I was the only one who liked that idea.

what i meant was, that it was stylistically well done, the content was what my gripe was about. Between the allegorical shots of them dancing in the 3rd one (which really just reminded me of 6 feet under promos before the 2nd to last season i believe) and the line about how in their relationship, at first they only communicated through artistic media, it just reeked of pretentiousness... and i'm one to talk, usually I'M the one being called the pretentious hipster.

I knew what you meant...and I can see how it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea.
It was a bit self endulgent for my taste.

I was just joking with you... though I do think at a certain level that if something is 'well done' that the style serves to create an engaging experience with the content (talk about sounding pretentious!).

Point is, I was kidding, but I guess there is always a little truth in jest.

I just watched all three.

They all had stuff that I liked and Hated. But you know what? I watched all three.

Not sure I'd wanna hang out with these two kids but I sure think they've done a great job so far.

One of the articles says it was one of the better indie films of 2005. The guys saved 10,000 and spend the other 55,000 with 7 different credit cards that are already unpaid. I don´t think they´re rich. I can agree they´re a little crazy, thought nobody can deny the fact that they made a cheap feature that has a very good trailer.
