Not Happy At All

What you said about when you are nice when contacting buisness for support or such, you will SADLY never get better service than if you were angry... They are there to make people happy, if you are already happy or just disapointed, they wont do much, but if your are unhappy, they will do little thing to satisfy your need.

But in my mind, all hardware considered Buisness should have a special considerations and options for support. But also it just another reason to not to give anything and make people pay extra per year to actually have the service.

It shouldn't work like that, but it does.

BTW, I can't say nothing about Panasonic since I have never had to contact them. Oh maybe except they are not GPL compliant and Im still waiting for them to update their web site for the source code ...!!!

plextor also pays for shipping via courier,i had a drive which went bad 4 times & not once did i pay for the shipping because it was under warranty. I think workoholic's anger is justified with the shipping expense, considering that he invested in such an expensive piece of hardware, i think anybody would expect the shipping to be covered in the warranty.

The resolution: We are going to offer workaholic a new camera, we will cover his shipping costs and all should be well. While we cannot duplicate his phenomenon, workaholic had the presence of mind to record off of the P2 card to the DV tape the problem. We are sending his camera dn the DV tape back to Japan for investigation. Am glad he bought a US camera.

Case closed.

Best,

Jan

I am ABSOLUTELY loving them this morning.

I wish I could change the heading of this thread to:

"SATISFIED CUSTOMER WITH STUPID HAPPY GRIN"

This is wonderful news. My faith has been completely restored (and then some).

Panasonic Customer Service...What Sony WISH it had!

Sony, and just about every other major cell phone, computer (with some exceptions at Apple), and cable/internet provider WISH they had!

Jan, your's and Panasonic's actions show much needed customer attention that is severly lacking these days.

So does this great support mean that Panasonic will be providing a parts diagram for its customers now? I'd prefer to order parts myself than have to pay inflated prices at the "service centers". And talk about slow support from Panasonic. I'm waiting over a month for a part, wooo hoo great indy support from Panasonic once again, for the price i'm paying you' would think they would slash the price for the inconvenience. They make good cameras, but they in no way understand what it means to be a film maker.
