Noob Help with Firestore

[Take_1]

Hi,

I just got my HVX and a FS-100.

I have ordered Barry's Book and his Bootcamp DVDs (I don't have them yet).

I am about to jump off my roof because I can't figure out how to make the FS-100 work with the HVX.

Would someone please be merciful and post me step by step instructions? I have been searching the forum but have not come up with anything to this point.

Thank you.

It's all in the manual, but also available in BenB's FCP/FS-100 tutorial: http://www.focusinfo.com/dynassets/documents/products/FocusFCPPaper.pdf

Ben's Tutorial was just what I needed.

Thank you!

Excellent, glad that helped! Thanks for posting the link, cbrougham.

Also, keep in mind that the FS-100 ships with a "quick start" guide that pretty much walks you through every setting you need to set to get it running with the HVX.

That would have been nice to have.

The situation here is as follows: The place I ordered my HVX and Firestore from promised that I would have my gear by the 16th of Feb. This was a precondition I made before ordering because I have a shoot in Belize on the 20th. Anyway, my gear is still in transit, so they have supplied me with loners until I return. I don't have all the documentation I suspect for these units. (ie: the quick start guide.)

Thanks for the help everyone.

You can also download the Quickstart and manuals from the Focus web site.

Ah, that explains it. However, you can download it from www.firestore.com, here:

EDIT: doh, BenB beat me to it!

Sweet. Thanks guys!

Ah, but I always got there with "www.firestoreinfo.com". I never knew they also had www.Firestore.com go to that page, too. Very cool.

Barry, I'm RACING through today, answering what I can as fast as I can. It's Lundi Gras here in N'Awlins. Figure it out, my friend...

I'm not long for this world. For I must rise to another plane of existance temporarily, for a few days to, um, well, as a salmon must swim upstream to spawn. But I wouldn't call what's happening here right now "spawning", not exactly. If I'm not back here by Thursday morning, all is lost...

You really are missing the "Ultimate Bootcamp" here, Barry! Get to the French Quarter tomorrow and we'll show you things you can do with that HVX you never dreamed of...
