F3: Non Sony Add On's for the F5 or F55 (EVF, Monitors, etc.)

Since I'm a producer who rents a 100% of the time on features... looking for the best way to keep the over all cost of the camera and add on's down...

Not sure if any after market companies are developing add on's yet... evf, base plate, shoulder mount, etc.?

And what about other batteries besides the Sony's will work just as well but cost less...

And of course monitoring solutions for both the AC and DIT...

Any HD-SDI EVF will work just fine with the new cameras, as will any v-mount battery.

Monitoring options for video-village and the like will be the same as for HD-SDI based systems currently.

Baseplates and top plates etc. may take a short while to be updated for the new cams.

Both Solid and Element Technica have already had their hands on the camera, and it's looking like they'll have things ready to go when the camera hits the streets. Good on Sony for getting those folks early access.

To be clear, you can use gold mount batteries (Anton Bauer) with a simple adapter plate, right?

The camera generates EVF specific overlay for the EVF and I am not sure if they are available through HD-SDI. Exposure, focus, frame lines etc are generated in-camera.
