Non Funtioning HVX 200

Here is the story. I keep my HVX in a Pelican case. I had the camera out of the case at home, and one of my cats decided to urinate in the case. I put the camera in the air tight case without noticing. After a few days in the case the urine turned to ammonia, and oxidized all the copper in the camera. It powers up, viewfinder shows information, but there is no picture, it does not read P2 cards. After Panasonic told me they had never seen anything like this, they also told me it was not worth fixing. So I have a non functioning HVX for sale. Glass is in perfect shape, body is in very good shape. I am open to offers.

I might be interested in using it as a prop. that gets smashed in a short film. How much are you looking to get for it.

My wife has put the cat in protective custody. Pathetic part is it is not insured under pet damage. I could have pissed on it and it would have been covered. The LCD seems to work just fine. I can run through the menus no problem on it. As far as I can tell it is the chip that may have taken the brunt of it. As for the offer of a 100, I think I would rather have it sit as a prop on my shelf next to my old 8mm cameras. But thanks.

This is like the saddest story I've ever heard. And, having 3 cats in the house myself, I have to say this doesn't surprise me at all. Weird creatures.

Unfortunately insurance does not cover pet damage. I was honest, and like I said I could toss it in the street, have it crunched up, and I would have the cash. There will be a differen't type of insurance on the next camera.
The repair shop expressed interest. I have had a few low offers. If somebody will give me 500, I will send it out.
