Noisy Sony Alpha adapter

Tried out the LeA2 (A-->E) with a Sony 50mm 1.4
The whole set up was very noisy and robotic sounding.
still waiting for a meta bones adapter.

The Sony Alpha adapter would probably be best suited for long shots using phase detect with no regard to audio or Nat sound. It is noisy.

The noise is coming from the lens. That's just the nature of these servo driven lenses. The metabones adapter with Canon lenses will be no different.

If that's the case,
Considering that the description of the lens said "silent focus", I'm a little disappointed.
The kit lens and the 50mm 1.8 are tack sharp and are completely silent when adjusting focus and exposure. As I mentioned before unless you're using phase detect for some longshots I wouldn't even consider using the the alphas with the LEA2 adapter.

I'd like to get some feedback from FS 700 owners who are actually using the MB smart adapter and canon glass to verify any unsatisfactory levels of noise coming from the adapter and or the EF lenses.
