Noisy footage after transfer

Hi,

I'm actually trying to transfer so footage to FCP but when I go in "Log and transfer" all my footage appears noisy with an indecent amount of artifacts, especially in moving shots. Like a zigzag pattern.

All the shots are clean when I watch them in my camera, could it be a problem in the settings? I'm transferring AVCHD from a HMC150...

I tried with other footage on other memory cards and I didn't have this problem.

Any help would be welcome.

Thanks

PS: I recently upgraded the software on my camcorder to read Class 10 SD cards. I tried to tranfer with Class 10 and I don't have any problem. The footage I need is on a Class 6 card...I guess it's related. Is there a way I can work around with it?

Your camera's viewfinder monitor is very low resolution and cannot be used to really accurate gauge grain. The transfer is digital and adds little if any grain that didn't already exist in the original footage. But if you think it's something else- please post a still.

Oh I'm not talking about a little grain added but more like a old TV electro-zigzag-from-hell. Literally. The fact that it doesn't happen with all of my Class 10 cards footage makes me think it would be more a problem at this level.

Could it be you are describing an interlacing artifact? You might try the deinterlace filter on your clips.
