Definitely experiencing a lot of noise with the camera across a variety of scene file settings.
the latest being:

1080 30p
Tokina 16-50, f2.8
24mbs

Detail: -4
V Detail: -2
Chroma: -1
Mast Ped: -2
Gamma: B Press
Knee: Low
Matrix: Norm2

I edit with FCP on an I5 IMAC.
I have checked it straight out of the cam to a 720 monitor and its still a bit noisy.
Oddly, the blacks look fine. Its the mid tones that are cruddy.
Seeing a huge discrepancy with similar settings from other people. I know Im not using the best glass, but unless everyone is using NEAT and not telling us, I'm just stumped.
Id be happy to send a link to some of the raw and welcome any comments or suggestions.

I don't see any extreme noise that bothers the eye (IMO). And the noise I see, might be from the vimeo compression... Have you tried to set the detail coring to +2 or +3? This function is great for hiding noise and I use it all the time.

Many times people think that setting the coring to minus will prevent noise, but it does the opposite. You need to set it to plus (if you haven't tried that allready, will say) =).

Thanks!
The noise is very obvious in the raw.
I need to mount a nice prime instead of the Tokina,
and compare again. I'll try the + detail.

Try the coring at +2 and the detail at -5. V detail at 0.

Also, what are you monitoring the footage in? Try Quicktime 7 as opposed to the current Quicktime. If you happen to be using VLC player, it is very inaccurate.
