I have an issue that I need to know if it is my camera or is this the norm with the GH1.
I get this "noise like" pattern in the mid-tones. It's these non-uniform vertical "noisy" lines. It shows up in low light and good light with my shutter closed down. Indoor, outdoor, anytime I film in dark areas or adjust the camera to make a lighter areas dark.
Shooting at ISO 100 with the 14-140mm and pancake 20mm, F wide open and shutter set to darken (to test) and iPowell firmware ptool settings.
The pattern is uniform and resembles the "canvas" (?) texture in photoshop (subtle though) , but just in the mid-tones or dark areas (not the black areas, or in well lit areas). It's a pattern that doesn't change as I pan.
No matter what settings I use with ptool, I can't get a clear image unless I shoot in great lighting. I see a lot of examples of some city night shoots that are AMAZING - I want that.
