Noise when on camera mode.

So, this morning I put my battery in place in my dvx after having it recharging overnight.

I power on the camera and discover I have this kind of windy sound coming out of my camera. The plastic cap that goes over the firewire/rca cable fall off when i took my camera out of my bag for some reason.

I replaced it in, but the noise is still there, what's happening?

EDIT: noise stop when putted on VRC mode :(.

Can you get close enough to figure out where the sound is coming from? I thought maybe it was the mic coming back thru the mini speaker, but I can't get mine to do that. You happen to have headphones plugged into it?????

Grasping at straws.

It sound like it came from the front.

I'm not an expert, but i know it must me mechanical, Ive already check the cam audio and it's not that. I tried putting a tape in, eject it back, turned off all auto control.

DVX100a, yeah i forgot to mention.

Otherwise it looks like its working 100%, but the sound still remain.

Pop the ZOOM SERVO mode on and off. See if that stops it. Maybe something hit the handle zoom?

Still grasping.
