noise reduction on longer exposure time

I am beginning to do some stop-motion animation with my hvx200 and Onlocation. I need to set the exposure time to the longest possible to eliminate flicker.I think it may be 1/12, i'm not sure. I was wondering is the noise will seem less noticeable on these longer exposures?
 
thanks barry. Do you know if i can shoot single frame in that mode using OnLocation? And do you think the appearance of noise will change due to the longer exsposure time?
 
Yes OnLocation could capture single frames that way. As for noise... I haven't compared, but any noise pattern will be frozen for however long you have the shot displayed (your playback rate). Accumulated noise should be averaged over the duration of the shot. It might look noisier, but I haven't noticed any complaints about 2fps footage before...
