Noise plugin that saved my buttocks

Rapier,
That plug in crashed my Vegas 4.0e after applying it to several clips in the timeline.
Removed and re-installed it a couple of times (re-booting in between) with no joy.
Too bad, because it looked ok on the first couple of clips with a visible softening of the noise.
Maybe it's only designed for Vegas 5 and above???

That's a shame. It didn't crash version 4 I have, applied to 2 video tracks.

I believe it was originally created for in 2004.

It's still a good plugin, if it is only crashing when you apply it to multiple tracks, you may be able to export your noisey tracks (if size permits) as a final mix with a losless uncompressed codec and reapply it to them as just one.

I did some searching and most of the posts I saw about it were after 2004. Vegas 4 is 2003, so that may be an issue.

Sounds like a good idea. I imagine it might take a while to render, but chances are you'd probably be doing this on your last run.

Sorry for asking a newbie question but how do I install the filters once I downloaded into Vegas

Just download the filter and open it. Most of them instal correctly from the go, putting your filter in the C:\Program Files\Vegas\Filters folder (or wherever you have it).

To use them, select them from the Video Effects tab. The Video effects tab is one of many at the bottom left of your window.
