I've been using the d90 for a month now (with 85mm 1.8-- I also have a 35mm 1:1.8 and 18-55mm) , and feel that I have finally reduced the noise in low light settings. Except instead of speckles they look like gradient rings. I don't know how much noise is too noise, but should I even be seeing any noise at all? I'm trying my hardest to get the cleanest footage possible.
I'd like to know how to get rid of it completely without resorting to a noise reduction program. All of the relatively cleaner/film-like d90 videos I've seen on vimeo did not resort to this. So I'm not sure what I should be doing?
Thanks! And sorry if this question is redundant.
Edit: Never mind. I realize that those "rings" were actually slightly wavy lines that replaced the noise which is normal.
