Hi,
I found a pretty interesting site, where you can compare the measured results of 3 different cameras.
I chose the GH1 compared to the 5D Mark II and 7D.
http://www.dxomark.com/index.php/eng/Image-Quality-Database/Compare-cameras/%28appareil1%29/337|0/%28appareil2%29/329|0/%28appareil3%29/305|0/%28onglet%29/0/%28brand%29/Panasonic/%28brand2%29/Canon/%28brand3%29/Canon
The results are VERY interesting, when you click on "ISO sensitivity".
There you can see, that the following ISO settings have totally different results when measured.
Here the results
ISO 100
GH1: 137
5D: 73
7D: 94
ISO 200
GH1: 269
5D: 143
7D: 159
ISO 400
GH1: 591
5D: 285
7D: 325
ISO 800
GH1: 1126
5D: 564
7D: 635
ISO 1600
GH1: 2154
5D: 1093
7D: 1223
ISO 3200
GH1: 4176
5D: 2133
7D: 2278
ISO 6400
GH1: ---
5D: 3990
7D: 4588
ISO 12800
GH1: ---
5D: 8693
7D: 7555
ISO 25600
GH1: ---
5D: 15111
7D: ---
I think this is amazing, and one has to compare the right ISOs with each other. You can see, that the ISOs of the 5D Mark II is only half of the GH1.
No wonder, that the noise in the GH1 is higher at the "same" ISO settings.
