GH2 Noise before recording

I have a weird issue. When i look at the LCD using, lets say a 6mm Pantex lens (1:1), is shows a lot of noise. almost looks out of focus. This all goes away when i hit record and all becomes clear.I dont change any setting besides hit record.

Anyone have this issue? Is this a settings thing?
Cam: GH2
Lens: 6MM Pantex 1.2

This seems a pretty common complaint with the GH2. Live View doesn't show you the same image you'll be recording until you actually are recording.

I read it's been corrected on the GH3.
 
umm..im not sure. ill have to check it out.

seems like that would be a good thing to have on.
 
That's a result of the ETC mode. It's just how it works. It looks out of focus and pretty bad until you hit record and then it snaps into focus.
 
Thanks for the reply! I didnt have that preview option set so i enabled it. I didnt even think about the ETC mode being factor.

Im glad Im not the only one :)
