Noah, the fittest

Another one of my 'spiritual' short films, just finished recently:

pics:

I'm rushed now, so don't have time to explain... Hopefully, this thread will remain on a civilized level and not be dragged down by hate and bitterness (like before).

Please keep in mind I will not be able to respond frequently, but I would appreciate any feedback. Filming was rushed, so the cinematography suffered.

thanks

i couldn't find a movie link...only pics and stuff

Yes, I'm wary of posting the actual video, since that can disqualify it from festivals and other possible options...

Maybe I will eventually. As it is now, there are only pics, though once I finish the "collective short" ("Koans, Parables, & Anecdotes"), I may post the animated short, "Hidden in Plain Site" (which is part of "Koans...").

This looks like it would go very well with this weeks "Daily Show" Special Report- "Evolution, Smevolution". I would be very interested in seeing this short, no matter what side it represents.

I love how the comments underneath each picture describe the shot and any excuses there may be for it. This one made me laugh.

"The ending shot is a little out of focus; Eric's mother had to do this shot, on the last available filming day, during a 1 hour window of nonrain/sunlight, after having worked 2 X 12hour night shifts at a nursing job that is over 1 hour from her house."

I make fun of both.

I make fun of both.

Ha, yeah, this short definitely pokes fun, though at BOTH sides... Scientism (when science becomes a belief system), and of course, intelligent design, which is a belief 'system.'

explainations are True...

explainations are True...

Good, I'm glad you loved it!
Though you're slightly mistaken; those aren't excuses, they're explainations... the difference being that they're absolutely true. Well, actually, in the example you sited, I would also have to add that the light kept changing throughout, and that a cat kept going into frame in order to be completely true...

The reasons for the descriptions:
1. they're True. (amazing this even has to be justified)
2. Information. Information is usually a good thing. Especially for hopeful filmmakers. Others may learn from my experiences, or may have feedback to my detailed descriptions, which may help me improve.
3. saves time Instead of wasting threads explaining back and forth, I cut right to the chase, so any feedback is usually more productive.
4. ego I like the expression "never have so few done so much with so little." This often irratates those who 'have so much, yet do so little.'

Do you have any comments on the images, the framing, cinematography, etc., and how that may or may not add to the themes expressed?
