No UK Certification...can I legally sell my film online?

Someone just posted in another forum that if my film doesn't have certification that It is illegal to sell dvd's online...is this true?
I am just an ametuer trying to make a film and to recover some expenses :huh:
 
People do it all the time. It's your stuff, you can do what you want (for the most part) as long as there are no content, copyright or trademark violations. What the other poster may have been referring to was the DVD logo itself. I believe you have to be certified to legally use that.

Granted, I am not a lawyer.

Thanks Cryogenic, the guy was just from a link I found from my website, they seem to be a girls with guns forum or something and they just must be miffed that it's being sold because they think it's a poor camera, even though people on here say it's really good, well the camera angles at least...but this other forum was talking about the shots being rubbish...I'd rather take the opinion of guys on here than there :)
