No timecode recorded to tape

Hey, well I filmed something on my sony vx1000 and it always usually has a timecode of stuff i filmed. I filmed some stuff on a tape and it didnt record a timecode for some reason for part of the tape...I have final cut pro and i go to capture it and it says waiting for timecode....its playing on the camera liek normal and i can capture every other tape i got....Is there anyway i can capture the footage if it wasnt recorded with a timecode.......any help is appreciated...thanks

there should be an option in final cut to not digitize time code and just use the comps time code. I'm an avid guy but in avid there is boxes for V1 A1 A2 A3 A4 and time code. Norm i select v1, A1,A2 and not time code. FC should have a similar option int he log and capture screen.
