no time code into fs4 pro hd 100 from hvx

i cant get any time code out to the firestore fs4pro hd 100, from my camera in hd mode.
we ran firewire out from a panny 900 and the device recorded in hd mode
note: the fs4 hd doesnt have some of the same settings as the older fs100s
note: i dont have a card in the p2 slot and i dont have a tape in the cage, from others running tapeless , theyve said you shouldnt need to have a card if your running direct into the hardrive when set to tapeless in p2 mode on camera setting.

camera settings: p2 1080i/60
other functions menu : 1394 control-ext
1394 command select rec p
pc mode 1394 device
recording setup tcg rec run


firestore settings record mode- normal
hdd mode- hd record
hd format- quicktime
setup- tc rec run
functions- fa tapeless
control- tapeless
when i switch to tape mode on the camera and to dv mode on firestore i get timecode
this has been driving me crazy and a lot of wasted time

Unless things have changed recently- the FS4 does not record DVCPROHD and does not work with the HVX200. Only the FS100 works this camera. Again, unless things have changed that I'm not aware of.
