No sound through 100A Headphone jack

In the mist of shooting my feature I have discovered that I can not hear my sound through the headphone jack. While I do hear the hiss from the amp, I can not hear the actual sound that I am recording. The levels read out on my sound, and the sound is there when I capture the footage to my NLE, but no matter what, I can not hear the sound through the headphone jack (even tried different headphones.) Is this problem common with the DVX100A? Or is there something that I am doing wrong? Thanks.

Bad connection? Sounds obvious but did you try wiggling and plugging in/out to see if anything changed?

I noticed something similar but only from one side (right I think). Unplugging and then pluggin back in solved it.

I, for one, was very surprised I could change the volume of the headphone out with the DVX playback volume control. Maybe that's your problem, don't know. But if you are really facing problems, I suggest getting a female stereo miniplug to male RCA adapter and monitor the sound from the RCA outputs. Much cleaner hiss-free sounding.

Turns out that it was merely the headset volume turned down from the top of the camera. Thanks guys.
