no shutter speed beyonf 1/30

Hi there !

Just got the GH1 1 week ago. PAL version (I'm in France)

As I read about the possibility of getting a shutter speed beyond 1/30 s. with the new firmware, I upgraded to v1.2, but I still cant get the shutter speed beyond 1/30 in any video format (1080 p or 720p) when I'm in "creative movie" mode.

I'm also wondering about how it's supposed to work ? If you get beyond 1/30 then I guess you take less pictures /second and then the resulting footage should look accelerated ?

(sorry if it has already been discussed, I didnt find an answer using the search function...)
 
Only 720p mode. In the menu you select SH for recording mode. Make sure it is in the M mode for manual and select the shutter by pressing IN on the wheel until it highlights in yellow. Now just use the wheel to go down as low as 2. This is all from memory so hope that is right but I am pretty sure it is.
 
You need to be in manual focus mode

edit: Also you don't need to be in M manual mode, creative movie mode is fine, as long as you're using manual focus.
