No OSD output from HPX-500?

So I was prepping my new HPX-500 to use with my old marshall monitor via the component out, and trying to get the camera on screen display info to come up on the monitor. I couldn't find the option anywhere in the menu. There does seem to be an option to put it on the SDI output, but not the component. I've done this exact thing with HVX's before, and it seems odd to cut the feature from a higher end camera. Am i missing something?

Under the flip out monitor door there is a switch that says "Output Character". Make sure that is set to on.

there is only one and yes it is a flagrant omission - I dont know why they made this decision
