That looks terrific! You had no banding issues on the dark keyboard scenes? Looked very clean to me. Incredible detail in the woman's stockings too.

It is a film school short made by 2 students. GH1 sponsored by Panasonic.
 
Nice looking short. Obviously a GH1 in capable hands will produce better footage that GH13 in no so capable ones. On the other hand, how do we know those students didn't apply the hack? ;)
 
The fact is that when you light properly and expose without having to push ISO you will not get banding at all. If you don't know this then you should not complain about banding. People think the cameras can shoot magically in the dark and that ain't true. The pros light the darkness to make it look dark. And be able to expose correctly in the process. This piece is perfect proof of this fact.
 
The camera doesn’t make footage look professional. The lighting does. That being said I would love to see what the GH2 can do at ISO 3200 as opposed to the ISO 1600 the GH1 is limited to in video.

Hopefully, the GH2 will be able to shoot video in less than ideal lighting something that the GH1 sometimes struggles with.
