Guns don't kill people either. The sad thing is that if things keep going the way they are now this will happen some day here. I know people can say that this would never happen here. But the rights here are slowly being stripped away. In California the gun rights are all but gone. Slowly but surely the state will trying to ban guns and weapons of any kind in the all the big cities. Just like they did in SF.
 
eventually we will realize the desire for man to kill his fellow man does not hinge upon the availability of a gun, knife, poison, or club. It is contingent on the desire and will to take a life.
When we stop treating those who kill as if they were members of our society, then we won't have to deal with them anymore. The death penalty is not a deterent to those who would commit crime, it is punishment for the crime you commit.

Well, it's not illegal to carry around a big dull spoon. This could lead to the rise of spoon ninjas which would be pretty sweet. :)
 
There is a reason we have a second admendment. When we lose that one, kiss the other ones goodbye too.

I don't see why people would need to carry a knife in public though - makes sense to me.

You can carry one if you have a reason - like hunting or something.
 
Or peeling apples. Slicing nectarines. Cleaning your fingernails. Stripping a wire in your car when you get a short. Opening a package you just picked up at the post office. Cutting gaffers tape. Trimming a cookie. CUtting the plastic off the dessert and making a slit over the meat in a microwave dinner you brought to work.

It can & will happen. We thought it couldn't happen to us & now we are faced with banned semi autos & in some states you can't carry a pen knife, take it from one who has been there & is a sporting shooter, fight, fight, fight ....
