No more capturing with the dvx!

ok so i got my canon zr 100 back from repair, is there a problem? dvx is panasonic, my capture camera is a one chip shitty canon. I am using panasonic tapes, can i just put them in and capture in my capture camera???

is there a reason that one would want a capture camera? is it hard on the camera to capture from it?

well, it just tears the heads, which meens u gutta clean them, So u might as well capture with a shitty camera so u dont do the head damage on your good camera, like the dvx, or a vx, or hvx, etc...

I've watched my DVX eat tapes on more than one occassion as I shuttle back and forth during capture or even replay viewing. I use a cheapo cam for all capture to NLE with no problem. My dvx is used for shooting only, where it excels. I dont know why this is, seems the transport doesnt like shuttling or high speed rewinds or ff's. If I can do it reasonbly, I capture direct to laptop with my DVRack... no tape then
