No light GH2 video.

I shot this with very little light. Almost everything was at iso 1250. My 50mm 1.2 canon lenes helped a lot too. This is my first real outing with my new GH2 and I am happy with it but its not night and day better then the GH13. One place that the GH2 shines is in low light.

Looks very cool. The 1250 ISO is remarkably clean. It looks like you could have gone lower on certain shots (parts are blown out...though that may have been the intention). Love that fast lens. Are you able to control aperture on the Canon lens?

I can't wait to see the GH2 in stock, but it seems that I have to wait for a while. Just one question, do you think a GH2 + Canon 50mm 1.4 would give me similar results in low light?

I was going for the blown out look and pushed it a little more in post. I am using a FD lens so the apature is built in, its a 50mm 1.2L new FD. I think that there is something to that L glass. Defiantly could not get this look with my GH1. I still think that GH1 is as good for properly lit shots. But 1250 with out too much banding and noise was great.

I don't know, I think that it should.

Probably will not be as sharp, but hell...... most of my shots are out of focus any way. ; )

I don't have the 1.4 and have not used one, but from what I have read the 1.2L will give you better contrast and sharpness.

In video mode a lens would have to be REALLY blurry to be noticeable, since video is only barely 2 MP and most lenses are made for far more than that.

In my experience, while shooting video on hybrid cameras, sharpness of the lens is not a factor.

Looks great! What kind of stabilization were you using?

Just got a cheap Libec TH-950DV a few days ago and this was the first time I used it. I am really surprised how smooth this guy is, I hope it holds up. The head looks like its buit well but the legs have some plastic bits that look sketchy.

I have noticed the same thing. But when you are wide open some lens that I have used can get more blurry. I think that the 1.2l gets less blurry then most lens and dose it in style. I have a limited first hand experience with that. I am still pretty new to the VDSLR world.
