No Green screen examples here

Can anyone post any of their green screen examples with the HVX? I am purchasing a screen this weekend to do tests for a shoot the following weekend. I have 3 650k watt Arri lights. I basically understand that I need to light the screen as evenly as possible without getting spill on the person being interviewed.

Any other advice?

Not sure if you realize this, but you posted this in the DVX section. Just thought you might want to know.

Also, you'll want to keep the talent a good way away from the screen. This will help to eliminate (or at least minimize) spill. Also, having the talent backlit will help to define the edges and make for a cleaner key. Here's some example frames from a test I did a while ago. Talent was about six feet from the screen and was backlit. The background is just random, could have used anything:

It's not pro or anything, it was just a quick test. I'm sure you can achieve great results with the right lighting. The DVX on any progressive mode makes it much easier.

AE 6.5. I think I used Ultimatte on this. But it might have been Keylight, now that I think of it. I can keep fine edge detail (like the stray hairs on top of her head) better with Keylight. I'm sure Ultimatte can do it just fine as well, but for this test I was just doing it for speed to see how the footage held up for a key. MUCH better than any other footage I've used, though I've only used interlaced footage before getting my DVX last year. Not to say you can't get good keys off of interlaced footage, I just found it really easy to key with progressive footage.

I'm confused. Is Keylight a part of AE6.5 or a seperate program?

Another note on Keylight. It comes with AE, I believe from version 6.0 on. It came with 6.5. Really easy program. Pulls decent keys without much tweaking, but also has a lot of parameters to play with. Ultimatte is better at pulling a good key (a nice hard matte, without any wandering 'fade outs' in the matte) on default settings, but Keylight preserves fine detail better at default settings. But, on the other hand, Keylight doesn't define the matte as hard as Ultimatte does so you get some areas of the matte that aren't quite as transparent as they should be. This is all on default settings too. I don't recommend doing a one click key and leaving it at that. Really bad idea.
