GH2 No GH2s on Panasonics website

As of today, no matter whether you have an account at shop.panasonic.com (it appears to be of any type) you can no longer by the GH2 either as a body or with the 14-42mm lens. Yesterday, it was available. I noticed today that on Amazon, Samy's Camera is only showing 1 available GH2 body, and Adorama shows 15 kits with the 14-42 lens for $899. (Does this mean they will be come collectors items ;-?) B&H has both bodies and kits in stock.

Hey, I guess that means a higher resale value for my old GH2, which is getting listed as soon as the GH3 arrives!

What it means is that anyone who wants a new GH2 had better jump on it now. No more will be made as the GH3 is the current production model.

I have one used GH2 body (the first I got my hands on) purchased from Hot Rod Cameras (the same guy who makes PL mounts for a lot of DSLRs and other gear) that I paid the same as B&H lists a brand new body for.

The second I ordered brand new from B&H with 14-42 "kit" lens when the price "dropped" to $749. Then a few weeks ago I "snapped up" a used body from B&H when the price on it dropped from $539 to $399 (they did this a few days after they dropped the price on brand new bodies to $499.

I'm not "collecting". I wanted the capability to run 2 cameras and have a "backup". And when my pre-ordered GH3 arrives I plan to keep all 3 GH2 bodies.

B&H doesn't list quantities left like amazon, but B&H will run out of GH2s and I think it will be very soon.

Yeah, KEH.com cut prices and cleared out their stock last week too. Sad to see the production run come to an end, but then again I picked up a used body for $429, so it worked well for me.
