No Docks 12-bit

Hey! You did it, of course, who needs Genlock and SD monitor these days. Now to shove a Multiplexer inside, so it's just one wire out. Sweet Evan!

BTW, that doesn't look like the West Coast anymore, are you back in the East?

Hold on... I just realized you did. Is that all it takes? Damn super easy mod then.

F23 or F35 shouldn't make a difference, i am using the space from the docks to make parts fit, it fit's like a L down the back. The "big board" from the IF box is also in there but you don't need to route the SDI cables through it.

It does make me laugh to use DSLR tripod with this camera.
 
So if you are using the SRW to record this mod can not be done as you still need the dock. Got it. Still super cool mod man!

I think all Yachacha is doing is taking the board out of the IFBox, and adding it to the dock. There are 2 docks on the F23. The top and Rear one. Essentially you could attach the board out of IF Box (assuming you don't need it) attach it to the top dock, rewire it to the SDI outs of Genlock... and still have a fully functioning Rear Dock port for your SRW. Of course, battery may be an issue if you dock it to the top, but there are solutions for that too.

Yeah, I think for me the steps taken to get this mod working for my setup would be too much of a headache. I have the Lemo Anton Bauer plate attached to the IF box. The IF Box honestly does not add that much weight to the camera so Im good keeping things as is. If i was shooting tapeless 444 I would def venture more information to figure out how to do this mod but for me, im good keeping things as it is. Fantastic mod for this kind of setup though!
 
Also I should note that I think I have the same tripod head. Looks like a benro. I believe I have the S9? Works well with just the F23, but once the SRW is on, i need to hold on for dear life lol... really need to invest in a proper tripod for my setup.
 
Very interesting. Well done!

I can see the appeal for shots one might need a camera head type of rig to stick in tight spots. Might just do the trick and avoid switching to a different camera for the shot. Great for jib shots and the like as well. You have tempted me to try something similar with one of mine.
