No D300s around here?

Went to Best Buy yesterday because the guy said they would be in...But only about 2 cameras in central Illinois. None were I live. Must be a lot of people not waiting for the 7D!!
 
They have body only and I well probably buy from them or Roberts Camera in Indy but I just want to check one out. Play around with one first. Still waiting for more reviews and feedback. Probably wait till the 7D comes out. 700x ?

Not going to rush into anything/
 
I haven't read about it, but I see that it outputs video via the HDMI. Where can I find more information about that?

Is the stair stepping problem mentioned in the comments the sudden change in exposure? Is there only auto ISO or can you control it manually?
