No beep

The record start / stop beep doesn't work on my HMC150, regardless of the menu setting -- anyone else have this problem, or have any idea how to fix it?
 
Hey Walter, I asked the same question about this in my review of the camera earlier this week. I went through the manual again and the beeper is not like on the DVX ;) It actually only beeps when there are error conditions like battery & card alerts. It would have been nice if it beeped when pressing start/stop but then the on-air indicators on this camera are probably the best I've ever seen - flashing red card icon & red REC in the display, also the flashing orange LED at the card slot - you definitely know when this camera is recording :)
 
Hmm, interesting, I just looked at the manual again, and you're right -- thanks for pointing that out. Too bad, too, as I liked the audio confirmation that I had pressed the record button hard enough. Oh well.
