No Audio Quicktime Import Mac

Hi there,
Trying to import a quicktime movie into avid media composer (latest update) but when I import the files, I get video but no audio. I've tried all sorts of different import settings but no luck. I've also tried exporting the stupid video from quicktime in a different format but it claims that there is an incorrect duration in the video. ARGGH!

Have you tried splitting the tracks in QT to video and a separate audio and import tha way? There may be a issue in the QT file lto start. Once the two files are imported you can easily resync them into a single clip with AutoSync.

Sounds like a corrupted file to start with. Can you cut the clip down first from head and tail to see if you can regain the same duration for V and A tracks.

Reinstalled the OS and Avid Media. Updated everything to it's latest settings. Problem gone. Don't know why, but it worked.
