I just spent 3 months shooting a silent feature with my FS7, so obviously never needed the audio at all. Took it on an interview shoot yesterday and the audio was working fine, then went to play it back for the client and was getting nothing through the headphones even though it was there on the VU meters. I assumed it was recording even though I couldn't hear it, and started to record more footage. Nothing on either meter and nothing through the phones. I was at risk of standing around like an idiot while the VIP client waited, but tried rebooting the camera and it worked- audio came back and I got through the rest of the shoot no problem. Anyone else run into this scary little quirk?
