No 16:9 DVCPRO 50?

When we shoot SD with the 500 it has always been 4:3. Well I have a job coming up that requires DVCPRO50 16:9, but after combing the owners manual, I don't see any setting for that shooting option.

Am I missing something or do I have to shoot HD and down convert?

Got caught the same way myself, you have to set it to 'squeeze' & hey presto 16:9.

I was told by the Panny rep that because the menu comes from the 200 the terminology used is the same.
