No 1/2 inch bayonet lens adapter included with PMW-300

The ACM-18 adapter for 1/2" bayonet lenses previously included with the PMW-EX3 is not included with the PMW-300. I cannot find it for sale anywhere new, and few are available on ebay. I am really confused by the lack of availability of this item.

Yes, this is one thing I noticed when I upgraded from my EX3 to the PMW-300. I negotiated to keep the ACM-18 adapter because of this with the dealer I traded my EX3 in with. I guess Sony did this to keep the overall list price a little lower - but it seems dumb if they are not readily available separately.
 
Yes, Sony had to maintain profit somehow, producing a much better camera for the same? price as the EX3. No gripes really about leaving it out.

I also noticed that Fujinon does not list the ACM-18 now on their product page for adapters. I sent an inquiry about that absence.

I do not see any other third part suppliers making a suitable adapter either.
 
Fujinon says they have never sold the ACM-18, it has been distributed only by Sony. I see none at the retail level, only used ones for sale.
