NLE settings for rendering EX1 videos...

If using Quicktime Pro for compressing the videos I render out from Vegas Pro, and being that the EX1 records at 35mbps, should I *actually* be rendering my videos out at 35mbps, too? As opposed to what I'm currently doing, which is rendering them completely uncompressed.

If you have the room for uncompressed then I would stick with that if you plan on doing anything to the files.

If you export with any form of compression there is pretty much always a quality hit, which is why compression is left to when you're exporting your final piece for viewing.

I have the space, I just can't play uncompressed 1080p files on my machine, which I'd like to be able to do before compressing them.

What sort of specs do you need to play uncompressed 1080p files, anyway? I'm guessing a really fast hard-drive would help...
