NJ NY PA meeting,,,,,,,, water test here!

I say it has to happen in NYC. Most NYers dont have cars and only use subways. Places outside NYC mainly use cars for transportation so it would be fair thisway

Again, it's very easy to get to New Jersey from the city by using NJTransit out of Penn Station--especially if the meeting is held in Northern or Central New Jersey. I'm fine with commuting into the city via train if it's held there but I just don't understand this "I can't get out of the city because I don't have a car" mentality. It's hella easy, trust me.
 
No offense, but there are like a billion filmmakers in the city. They are certainly welcome at a Jersey meeting, but if I were them I would just start up a group in the city.

Those of us in the burbs have a much greater need for networking.

I'm down for coming to a Jersey meeting, not because NYC is lacking in fellow filmmakers but because I'd like to meet some of you cool Jersey cats on DVXuser.com. While I have wheels, though, I must concur -- getting to Jersey via public transportation is probably easier than driving (but I've got a need for speed...). First weekend in December would be my preference, BTW.
 
Ok, Jersey it is. NY folks, it's easy to get to by train or car. I'm thinking the Starbucks in Linden might be ideal again but not 100% decided on that as of now.

First Saturday in December will be the day..... 12-03-05.

Time will be 12:30pm.

Final location to be announced within a few days.
 
Coffee,

My writer's group meets the first Saturday of each month from 9 to 12 in a great little coffee/pastry place. If you want I can check to see if they have the afternoon free. It is a private back room and they are a block away from a train station (for those who might need it).

It's in Chatham.

It's exit 142 on the Parkway and 14C on the Turnpike. It's about 1/2 an hour out of the city and as I mentioned it is a block away from the train station. If you've ever been to the Short Hills Mall, it is about a mile away from there.

...we should all make a movie at the starbucks....everyone bring their DVX's wit them so I can use them and we make a movie!!!

a bunch of men in a group...at starbucks...drinking coffee...the perfect sci-fi movie...then we can jus add Zach Lien running into the Starbucks door in a wookie costume wrecking the place...while you all try to beat him up...i film it all..then a huge comet comes and crashes into the store and we all die...except me and Coffee..then we have the final battle on the counter and kick around little muffins...then..............................you'll all have to wait and see for the end..
