Nikon V2 and 10-100mm PD-Zoom for video shooting -- a good idea?

I am looking at the V2 camera to be mated with the 10-100mm video style PD servo zoom. This zoom is the one that has a TELE/WIDE zoom on its side. Supposedly it is a 3-speed servo zoom lens, could not figure out where you can control the zooming speed for it though -- ON THE LENS via a button or switch, or only IN THE CAMERA MENU?

I would be getting this set-up for 95% video shooting, the remaining 5% of the time for stills. Reason I am looking at the V2 and the 10-100mm video lens is (A) I like the larger sized sensor compared to the 1/5th and 1/3rd inch imager camcorders and (B) I like the video-style zoom lens that does not keep telescoping in and out, but rather, stays internal after the initial moving forward of the inner barrel, like a proper video lens should. Note that I would not be interested in using Nikon F or any other types of lenses on this thing, with the possible exception of the new 6.7-13mm WA zoom.

I watched the posted videos with the V1 and the 10-100mm lens posted on You Tube, but I would much appreciate anyone commenting on using V2 (or V1) with the 10-100mm video style PD lens in video mode. Also, if you guys would know what is the recording bitrate that the V2 can muster? I noticed 60p is not listed, only 60i and 30p, so does that really mean the V2 cannot shoot any video at 24p, 25p, 50p, 50i, or 60p? I hope I read the specs wrong on that, as 30 and 60 fps only would really be not much to go with. Also quite worried about the LCD screen being fixed and not articulating.

Noticed also there is an external microphone input jack, is it a 3.5mm TRS stereo type? Is there any way to manually adjust audio recording volume/trim level? Finally, does the V2 output an active video HD signal via its HDMI OUT jack while you are shooting stills and video with it? In other words, say you connect it to a TV or on-camera monitor/EVF via the HDMI cable, will you keep getting a live image from the camera while you are taking your stills and actually recording your video? Or will the HDMI OUT port not work in these cases and not give out a clean or "dirty" live signal in recording mode? Thanks a bunch!

I am not interested in the V2 for two good reasons.
1. It has a puny battery
2. I already have a V1, D7100, D600, and D800.
They all use the much more powerfull battery that only weghs 3 oz.

My friend has both the V2 and the 10-100 power zoom.
Between his rave reviews and the nearly half price sale at B&H I ordered the lens.
