Awesome! I had an order in on that lens and canceled it for considerations of going FX. Looks like it has awesome results though.

Playing around with textures.

Bryant Park Disc Golf Course (hole #6)

Bryant Park Disc Golf Course (hole #6)

D90 using stock kit lens at 18mm

8 raw images pivoted approx 20 degrees for each shot, preadjusted in raw to lower exp. and raise mid detail, then photomerged in photoshop where several copies were combined using multiple blending modes.

Minnesota, about 20 miles southwest of Minneapolis. This is my favorite disc golf course as they have integrated the holes to take advantage of the landscapes beauty. This one overlooks the lake, but hole 17 is the real beauty, but I havn't yet figured out the best way to respresent it in photography. The tee box lies on top of one hill and the hole is across a large field and up another hill about 1/4 of the way. When teeing off the precise line of the pin is the same as the steepel of a nearby super church, seen over the forsest canopy that is beyond the hole... very impressive but doesn't lend it self well to panaramic photography, I'm thinking perhaps a massivly long lens with a disc in flight as the foreground object.

And disc'n while taking photos is about the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Taken on Yom Kippur on Crowder's Mountain... Visibility was about 50' through this amazing fog... All taken with D200 with 17-55 f/2.8

I have a bunch more from the summit but they are mostly either of myself playing with my self timer or shooting into the fog... and that just makes it look like the sky is blown :)

One more from the radio tower at the top of the mountain just to show how thick this fog was

EDIT:

After looking at the full res version again, I don't like that thing that comes off on the right hand side. I think it distorts the composition and throws off the whole balance of the image.

Here is a quick clone stamp edit of the above image.

I think if I didn't know about the above image it would pass... although the nipple looks a bit funny... Maybe I'll play with it some more.

Ye Gods bill, that cityscape is killer! Talk about a great shot to composit against.

Wow!

This is my wive's first attempt at outdoor photography. D70, kit 28-70.

It is also her first attempt in color correction and enhancement in Photoshop.

I helped her a little with some tips and tricks, as well as a tad to help with her workflow, mostly non-destructive editing.

You all school me at taking pics... I'll be honest I haven't been playing with my D50 much these days... in fact, been thinking of selling it... got a cool pic this weekend at a friend's wedding...

Classic shot Bill, very nice. This may sound random, and I'm not one to ever give notes on a specific photo really, but if you could maybe photoshop that white car on the right to make it a dark gray or something I'd say do it. It's a bit distracting and turns an other wise great nearly romantic shot of Los Angeles into an ad for a nissan. But again, aside from that random ass note, great photo. :)

Thanks, armisiano, all notes appreciated. And thanks to Matt as well.

Another shot with the D60 before I sold it:

Bill, are you investing in something else? (after selling the D60)

EDIT: Nevermind, I see in a post above photos taken with the D300. I'm assuming that was the upgrade, yes?

Yeah got bit by the photo bug, I guess. Took it to Vegas but haven't shot any models yet.
