Nikon User Thread

A self portrait.

I figured it was time I do one. Not necessarily flattering in the best of ways, lord knows the full res is practically a sea of pores and stubble, but it's honest and I'm in my natural state of day dreaming.

ilauzirika, excellent. Both are great. I think the lighting in the first is far superior, but unfortunately I don't care for the foreground at all.

rawfa, also outstanding.

Thanks! The second was finally selected to be published in a calendar. My first photo ever published! I'm really happy with that shot.

BTW, nice military shots!

doug, what are you shooting man? Tell me that is a set and not the real thing. Those all look freaking awesome to me. The shots with the M4's look great. The shot of the boy is awesome too.

Heh, yeah it's a set. A film for the Army we just wrapped. Thanks for the compliments.

I own all those M4s now... if you know anyone who needs any, let me know!

After four months I have finally had enough time to finish this pano I was making.
This is a Pano from Venice one of the photographs could't make it to the pano so one part of venice is missing.....

While I was taking this photo there was a cameramen (with a HPX500 if I'm correct) filming some guys, something like a travel documentary. This guy was filming through the windows of the tower, when the security guards came and told him to stop filming. OK, he stopped and handled the camera to his assistant. Then after doing that he took out another camera, somethig like a hv20 and kept on filming, and nobody told him anything......This shows that the size really matters.....

Here's some I'm working on, just started with layers. So this is a sort of rough draft, I posted it in another thread but no one responded wanted to know what you guys thought.

pest22o, those are really cool. I'm looking at the aspect ratio of that second shot, is that a photograph or a screen grab?

2 in the can, how did you get so much definition on the sun rays? Was it foggy? I can see the fog but did you also PS the crap out of it?

From my back porch on Sunday.

OMFG!! This shot rivals or beats ANY other tornado shot I have ever seen. May not be the biggest, but from a documentation and artistic standpoint it is marvelous... Hope all was fine with you and loved ones of course.

Was the house there or did you add it? Light coming through it makes you feel u know about it's interior making it that much more personal. Was that real or PS'ed?

Very enthusiastic:
