Poop,
The only thing that I see is on the box car. It could be a little bit lighter other then that good treatment. Love the shot of the sky. Beautiful!

it's the only thing i answer to :)

thanks Gizmo, the clouds were in odd form the other day (might be because of the fires). i'll play with the exposure on the boxcar; thanks for the feedback.

and andrew, those nature shots are awesome.

Your box car picture isn't enirely level. And there's something about all the horizontal lines in the picture. When the two come together I get a headache. I just have to look at it long enough and then it goes away, makes sense and I like it. Just my opinion though, Poop.

Oh and it looks like it's a RAW picture. Soft, small on colour... I like that. The trolley is over sharp to me. But other than that it's nice. And you should get a CP filter for your lens and you'd get an effect simillar to the sky one, only it'd look more natrual.

man theodoros, i'm frequently dumbstruck by your stuff, especially your shots of people. how is it that you get skin to look so succulent (for lack of a better word).

That 3rd one is great, just magical... but that fourth is sharp and the color just leaps out of the screen.

For the black and whites, rather than doing a desaturate try to do the gradient mapping with the black to white... it will give you a starker contrast that sometimes gives greater detail, especially with images that are closer to 2D.

~~~~~~~~~
Now the 4th. DUDE!!! DUDE!!!!
That is possibly one of the nicest flower pictures (I hate freaking flower pictures) I have ever seen... That color is insane!
If I got color like that out of my images I would never do B&W work again. That is unbelievable.
Jeremy,
Thanks for the good advice. I'll give that suggestion a go.
Note: Jeremy has been after me to post some photos for a long, long time, but I haven't had the old SRT101 out in years. Luckily, I just came into a starter D50 package...
:)
That passion flower was growing in the courtyard of the house we took in Ventenac. Actually, there were hundreds of them in bloom. The flowers only last one day, and they were named after the passion of the christ (not the Mel Gibson fiasco). Wikipedia talks about why...
"...the 72 radial filaments (or corona) represent the Crown of Thorns. The ten petals and sepals represent the ten faithful apostles. The top 3 stigmata represent the 3 nails and the lower 5 anthers represent the 5 wounds."
In all, I took about five hundred pictures during our last trip to Languedoc in June between the FinePix and the Nikon. Love the Nikon.
