Nikon User Thread

Well... I gotta' say it... more of that black girl please.

I don't care for the ring light in the second shot... the highlights in the eyes become the focal point rather then enhancing the eyes (in my humble opinion) but I find the other shot breathtaking.

WOW! I love this pic. Its friggin fantastic. There is such a great balance of comp and colors and mood and sharpness, etc. Its beautiful. THIS photo is getting me hyped to bring my camera to San Fran this weekend. I hope I get something half as good...

Matt- I agree 100%. That girl is smokin'.

Allen,
Great processing with the other one also. HDR is amazing and I think that everyone who is loving this picture should go out and shoot some HDR and figure it out because you can't some of the most amazing pictures from HDR!

I just recently picked up the HDR deal and man, I cant stop shooting it!

Keep em coming!

Hey Giz, Just noticed the Castillo de San Marcos. Fabulous shot! The angles and perfect shadow was an incredible capture, I love it. I keep going back and starring at that shadow, it's something else.

rlm7189, thanks so much. San Fran should offer you tons of opportunities. I'm jealous.

Filmgizmo, I couldn't agree more about HDR. I'm really happy how they are turning out and it really isn't that much extra work as compared to what I would do for a regular photo... A couple extra exposures, really.

I'm off to Montreal in a couple of days so I'm hoping to shoot some really nice stuff there. I've got my fingers crossed for the contests to restart soon as well.

Some really cool work on this thread! Here's a humble pic I took with my Nikon Coolpics 5000 this last Summer. No Photoshop needed on this one.

Matt, great picture. It really has a nice story going on. If only that yellow tarp was gone. Very cool.

Yeah, that and the guy in the white tee shirt sitting behind him.

Initially, I was going to get rid of them both, but something held me back. I am the first in this forum to advicate photo manipulation, but I felt it just needed to be there.

Or, maybe for some odd reason, I didn't want to kill it. I dunno. Usually I want to mess with things, but this time, I just couldn't bring myself to erase it.
