Either that or have allot of good friends.....i have 3 models comin out soon. One shoot tomorrow and possibly one this weekend. Then one more in a couple weeks.

All are better looking (IMHO) than my other model. The model that I have been putting up here is my ex girlfriends sister....:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Well that says something because she is/was pretty hot.

Extremely overexposed, I took several pictures of this plant, and the overexposed one looked the best! No processing in Photoshop!

Hello all you Nikon users!
I've just recently purchased a D80 with an 18-200mm vr dx zoom. I am about to use it to previsualize shots for a short I'm going to be shooting with an HVX200. I am wondering if anyone has found a way to have their Nikon Digital shoot in a 16:9 aspect ratio in camera. I assumed that this would be easy but am having some difficulty figuring out if this is possible. (It's probably right in front of me.) If anyone has any suggestions please let me know! Thanks!

Yes. Thanks. I'll have to crop in Photoshop. I was really hoping to be able to see through my Nikon the same frame I'll be seeing through the HVX200 in a couple of weeks - 2:3 will have to be close enough!

Quick question for anyone who can answer!

In my meta data as I shoot raw and bring it to the computer it says it is Compressed Raw and the File is only about 5.15MB. Just wondering if there is a way to shoot uncompressed raw? What setting do I need to change if any?

Thanks

Finally bought my new toy today, thought I would throw my excitment out here. I got the Nikon D80 with a few lenses for good measure, a 70-300 for some nature stuff, a 50mm for portrait/family and a 28-80, because it came with the camera. Have no idea what to use the 28-80 for, suggestions?

Anyone know where I can find a dedicated area or link for images shot with the D80? Gotta see what I have to aspire to. :)

Thanks!

Alveraz,

Congrats on the purchase! I am in the market for a DSLR also and i am leaning towards a Nikon D200 with a 18-200mm VR Lens. I'm just researching now to make sure that i get the right camera FOR ME. Anyways, you can take a look at Flickr, they have groups for Nikon owners.

I bought the Nikon D200 last year. It is really nice. I think I paid $1500. The price has drop even more since then.

I've heard that the 18-200vr is a good lense too. I ended up buying the 70-200vr 2.8.

But I've read that that the D200 & 18-200vr combo is hard to beat. I'm carry around the 17-55 on one camera and the 70 -200vr on another camera. I sometime wish I just had that one lense!!

Hi Zim, sell both of your lenses and buy the 18-200vr . I too have heard from many that the D200/18-200vr is a killer combo. I think the D200 is around 1300 and the 18-200vr is around 800 right now. We'll see, i'm still researching but so far i am leaning toward that combo.
