Nikon User Thread

but they have a policy that forces you to link to their page, and that html code doesn't do that (at least for me). using the link they provide in the "img" tags puts the picture but not the link.

"Remember! Flickr Community Guidelines specify that if you post a Flickr photo on an external website, the photo must link back to its photo page. (So, use Option 1.)"

but i couldn't fit the first code into the forum in a way that it displayed the picture with the link. honestly i just post from my facebook account, they don't have that guideline, and it is easier

i suppose that would work, i just thought i'd share my way of doing it, though i'm sure that there is a more intuitive way.

Another picture from the DUK session. Now just trying to see how far I can push the bland gray backdrop.

No, it was dull gray, close to 18%.

Thanks man. I asked because I hoped it was blue and you de-saturated it in post. I'm DPing a water filter commercial next week and am having trouble finding quality backdrops... do you own yours? Do you know a good place with a variety of rental muslin backdrops?

Sorry to go a bit off topic here.
Thanks!

Standard variety $39 paper back drop.

Ok poopnoodle, nice fireworks pics. That first one, with the overexposed two ... you should have pointed a remote at the fireworks, pressed pause, take a couple different exposures of the scene and did an HDR. It's a good idea though to not get so caught up in the photography moment that you forget to push play. Otherwise, you'd have a whole city mad at you. ;)

Seriously .. nice shots.

No... just being a sightseer for the day. I got a few good ones at the Aquarium but for the most part I couldnt get a shot to safe my life.... one of those off days. Thanks for the kind words.

It is the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, Georgia. It has the largest tank of any aquarium in the world with 2 whale sharks and many other things like a giant manta ray.
