I have the novoflex adaptor. It was a bit more expensive, not sure if it was totally worth it, but it connects very solidly to the camera and to the lens, with no play. The aperture ring is nice and smooth, and considering I could use all my Nikon 1.4 primes and 2.8 zooms, it seemed worth it, plus they sell an additional collar, however, I bought a long lens support from small rig that attaches to my rails and that works really well at holding the 70-200 or even the 24-70 nicely in place.

I have those exact lenses. The Vizelex nd throttle (from Fotodiox) is by far my favorite. I have two, one throttle one clean. The clean fotodiox sucks... It doesn't open all the way. If you want a clean adapter with no nd, get one that lets you choose the aperture on the lens instead of on the adapter.

Hows the quality of the ND filter? Any issues with color casts? I have a Tokina Nikon zoom with an aperture ring so I don't need the built in aperture, but a permanent ND would be nice because I shoot outdoors a lot.

I use Novoflex too, with Nikkor 18-35 and Sigma 12-24. I need that non-clicked smooth aperture ring and although its only around 10-15mm move from open to close, it works great. Lenses connect with ease but very solid. I have two (for FS7 with Tokina too) and always would buy it again. Around 150 Euros.

it's pretty slight, nothing you wouldn't be able to easily fix in post or in camera by adjusting the color in your picture profile. i usually dont adjust anything because once i get coloring it's really unnoticeable. just be aware that you'll always have about a stops worth of ND in even at its lightest.
