For sale today is the beautiful, full-frame 24mm f2.0 lens made by Vivitar Kiron. On crop sensor, this lens gives a look almost identical to a 35mm f2.8 on full-frame.
Optically, the glass is very clean for a lens of this age. There's a bit of dust and possibly a small imperfection on the front element, but I think that might just be a smudge. Aperture is nice and clicky, and the focus is buttery smooth, as we come to expect from vintage lenses. The lens is fairly sharp and gets very sharp once stopped down a stop or two, plenty sharp for any video use. I filmed the majority of this video with this lens: http://youtu.be/Yifqq2kGwTs including the shot at 0:22. You can see that this lens has a very beautiful, cinematic look to it. It'd be a great candidate for a cinemod.
There is a dent in the front element of the lens, but the dent is small enough that the lens cap can still be situated on it no problem. Unfortunately, it cannot accept screw on filters, but filters aren't necessary by any means, and I know a lot of you filmmakers use matte boxes these days.
I'm asking $200 shipped OBO. Only reason for selling is I usually find myself using zooms because I'm rather lazy.
If you pay the full price, I'll toss in a Nikon to Canon EF lens adapter, allowing this to be used on any EF/EF-S lens camera. I'll also throw in my Vivitar 2x Teleconvertor, which brings the lens to a very "normal" view on full frame.
